Free Airplane Rides for Kids Ages 8-17
Young Eagles Dates are Saturday, May 18, 2019, Saturday, September 14, 2019, and Saturday, October 12, 2019. Little Falls Airport sponsors one on Saturday, June 15, 2019.
Pancake & Sausage Breakfast
In conjunction with Granite City Days, the St. Cloud Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) welcome all for a pancake and sausage breakfast from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm in Hangar 2 at the St. Cloud Regional Airport. Breakfast is free for the pilot, $7.50 for other adults, and $4.50 for children ages 5 to 12. During this time, the public is welcome to walk around on the airport tarmac and see a variety of aircraft and airport equipment on display. The St. Cloud Antique Auto Club, aka "Pantowners," host a classic collector car show as well.
Two youth rally days with free airplane rides and sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) volunteers were held in the Spring and Fall. Pancake and sausage breakfast fly-in was held in June. St. Cloud Aviation sponsored the Wild Country 99's Country Music Association (CMA) party in Hangar H3.
Young Eagles Rally (sponsored by EAA Chapter Number 551) Free Airplane Rides for Kids Ages 8 to 17. Parental Consent Form Needed. Always weather permitting. Park in the airport terminal's main parking lot and find hangar entrance by the balloons at the Wright Aero Flight Training building. No pets allowed.
Granite City Days Fly-in Breakfast and Classic Car Show (sponsored by CAP) Part of the Granite City Days community celebration weekend - breakfast in Hangar 2 at the airport! St. Cloud's CAP Squadron served a pancake and sausage breakfast. The public was welcome to walk around the airport's general aviation ramp and view a variety of aircraft and airport equipment on display. The St. Cloud Antique Auto Club "Pantowners" hosts a classic and collector car show. Cost of the breakfast: $7.50 for adults and $4.50 for children, pilots flying in are free.

EAA Chapter 775 networks with national EAA chapters to host cancer victim, Jim Davis, to touch down on all 48 continental states. With the American Cancer Society and Relay for Life, one local cancer patient will receive a free airplane ride in Jim's Savanah XL dubbed Purple Passion.
